Eid ul Azha 2023 in Pakistan

Eid ul Azha 2023 will be Celebrated on 29th June 2023 (Thursday) in Pakistan and the Federal Government of Pakistan has decided to give Four Holidays on the occasion of Eid ul Azha.

The federal government has decided to give a four-day holiday by adding one more day to the Eid-ul-Azha holidays. After the insistence of Government Employees, Govt has decided to give a four-day holiday from June 28 to July 1 on Eid al-Azha.

Eid ul Azha Holidays 2023 Official Notification

According to the official Notification of the Cabinet Division, Following Holidays are announced on the occasion of Eid ul Azha 2023:

  • 28 29 and 30th June (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) for the offices observing Five Days working in a week.
  • 28th June to 1st July 2023 (Wednesday to Saturday) for the offices observing Six Days working in a week.

Government employees will celebrate 5 holidays of Eid-ul-Azha by adding Sunday 2nd July holiday. The federal government has increased the holidays on the insistence of government employees, the notification of which has been issued.

Federal government holidays will not apply to State Bank, FBR, and State Bank will decide the holiday of June 28 themselves, there is a lot of pressure on the banking sector due to the end of the financial year.

Earlier, the government had announced a three-day holiday (29th June to 1st July) for Eid-ul-Azha, for which a formal notification was also issued.
